The go-to recipe for all large family gatherings.

  • Brisket
  • 1/4 Cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey

Brisket may be cooked covered with water. Add a bay leaf, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1 teaspoon peppercorns to the water. Simmer 3 to 3 1/2 hours. After cooking, serve plain or topped with glaze. The brisket may be cooked one day, then glazed and heated the following day. For glaze, heat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, combine barbecue sauce, soy sauce and honey. Spread on cooked brisket. Bake uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, basting occasionally with pan juices.
